DHCP, IP Autoconfiguration - LEASE EXPIRES

Help needed !

Problem
my leased line expires after an hour. Where the hell can I
change that ? I do not want it expires.

The term of the lease is controlled by the DHCP server.
If the DHCP server is controlled by your ISP, you will
have to talk to them. One hour does seem short
although it shouldn't be a problem unless the IP address
changes every time the lease is renewed. My cable ISP
lease is for 7 days but the IP address hasn't changed for
at least 6 months.

Call your provider if you want it changed. Your system should ask for a
new lease at the 1/2 way point, so what difference does it make whether
the lease is 1 hour or 10 hours?

Bob, John thanks !
Now I know my problem. But..I need some help to solve it.
I am behind a firewall and my ISP do not know what
signal/protocol/port the lease renew is made. do you know
how an ISP usually renews his a leased line for clients.
So it would be easier to set a rule.
