Bob from Batavia

When I open Excel and as soon as I bring the cursor into the spreadsheet,
whatever cell the cursor I click on the cells start highlighting and I can't
use any other functions. I have to do a command-alt-delete to close the
program.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

Hi,

Try pressing F8 or Esc or Ctrl+Break. You may be in extend mode (F8).
