Excel not opening properly

After having virus/worm issues and cleaning all that up, my Access program is
not working correctly. For some reason, when I click on a database to open
it, the program opens, but the database does not. I have to click on "File"
in the program and find the database again, click on that to open. This
would not be so bad, but since I often work in a network, it takes twice as
long to find and open databases on others' computers. I'm sure this is
probably an easy fix - I'm just missing something, but I don't know what.
I've tried repairing Office from the disks, but that did not solve this
problem.

Double-clicking an Access file opens Access so your Program Access and
Defaults appear to be OK.

Since you did not state any steps you have already taken and I can only
assume your virus fix worked completely, I'll post the steps I would try in
this order.
1. Open Access & Click on Help>Detect & repair
2. check for Office updates
3. re-install Access

But keep in mind a virus problem is not always fixed completely. You might
have to research this further.

Sorry about not listing what I've done. Yes, the virus/worm has been taken
care of. Must be a little 'residual' left over, however, because my computer
is still not running as it did before it was attacked.

I have used the Office discs to try the repair, but it did not work. Not
sure why this has changed, but a lot of things changed after my computer was
hit. Got most of them back to normal, but still cannot get Excel to open
properly.

You did not mention which operating system you have, but most of the latest
wnidows systems have a restore that might work for you. Click on Start>All
Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Select the latest date
available before your system began showing signs of the virus.
