sWe currently have a site where we can upload files and then a user can
access these files. Currently we have an access database which when you
click on the link you get the option to either save it or open it. When you
click Open the Access database opens just fine on the machines that have
Access 2003 but not the case for the machines that have Access 2007. At
first I thought it was because I was trying to open a .mdb on a machine that
has Access 2007 but then I created an Access 2007 database and the same error
when I tried to open it through the site. Is anyone aware of changes in
Access 2007 which would prevent a user from opening an uploaded access
database from a site. Also if I save the database first and then try to open
it everything works fine so I know the database is not bad.

After clicking the link it opens Access and then asks me for my username and
password and then gives the following error:

Unrecognized database format 'C:\Documents and Settings\sroboubi\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Contents.MSO\CF42ECC4.asp\ittFile.asp

This ittFile.asp is the name of the page where the files are uploaded.

The one thing I notice is that on the machine that has Access 2003 when I
try to open the access database it does not ask me for my username and
password and then it shows the location

C:\Documents and Settings\sroboubi\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Contents.IE5\HF44ECC4\accessdb[1].mdb

I notice that with this it is using Contents.IE5 and not Contents.MSO

Not sure if that has anything to do with it but just thought it may be helpful

Thanks,
Sara
