Excel 2000

Excel will not start. I get the following error messages:
Fatal exception has occured @ 017F:BFF9DFFF

I also get another message: Excel caused an invalid page
fault in module GDI.Exe@0001:000013b6.

I have removed and reinstalled office 2000 several times.
I also ran Norton Disk Doctor to clean everything up.

I do not get any errors from Norton System Doctor.

I have no problem with Word, Access or Presentations.

I have exactly the same problem. If you find a solution to
this, please let me know. I will do the same thing if I
find any clue. Thanks.
