Hi all,

I setup a remote desktop connection on my pc(winxp pro), and it was preset
to run a specify program(preset on option - program), which was installed on
win2003 server, when starting the connection.

I've running it for few days and everythings alright.

But today when I starting the connection the following error was prompted

THE TERMINAL SERVER HAS EXCEEDED THE NUMBER OF ALLOWED CONNECTIONS

The questions are :

1. No any others connection are running when i connected to the server

2. use same user id and password loggin to same server by remote desktop and
without running that specify program when starting the connection , then i
can login to the server. And I can run that program by clicking the desktop
icon after I logged in.

3. Using administrator id and running that specify program when starting
the connection , same error prompted.

I don't have a clue, anybody can help?

Thanks

Have a look in Terminal Services Manager on the server & see if there
are any open sessions still running. If there are, you can log them off
from there. You might even have a phantom session of your own still there.

It's a good idea to log off your session instead of just clicking the
'x' as doing that leaves your session open. Putting a 'logoff'
(shutdown.exe -l) icon on the all users desktop is a good idea.

also check the settings on your computer to which you connect if you have
enabled keep alive conectios and what duration have you specified.follow
this procedure to do it

open local group policy
administrative templates
windows components
terminal services
keep-alive connections
