I just formatted C: and reinstalled XP - all seemed to go
find initially but after reinstalling Norton's antivirus,
fonts and pages have shrunk! Tried uninstalling and
reinstalling Nortons again to no avail. Suggestions?

your settings may have gotten upset
go start/control panel/appearance and themes/
go change the screen resolution/
note
adjust your resolution to 'less/800x600'
or whatever you're comfortable with
