Event log - Application

im getting this message in the event log all the time
Faulting application wmiprvse.exe, version 5.1.2600.1106, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106, fault address 0x00012b5a.
after it starts showing up almost no other aplication works in my Windows XP

Try running a virus scan and see if you are clean. Take a look at the
