Hi.

Today run DCpromo to promote a server to be an ADC.
Since the server was promoted i recieved these error:

The account-identifier allocator failed to initialize
properly. The record data contains the NT error code that
caused the failure. Windows 2000 will retry the
initialization until it succeeds; until that time, account
creation will be denied on this Domain Controller. Please
look for other SAM event logs that may indicate the exact
reason for the failure.

Every 2 min.
The microsoft technet doc say:

But the problem persist.
Any idea?

1 Primary Domain Controller.
1 Aditional Domain Controller.
1 The New Aditional Domain Controller with the problem
mentionated.

Ho Roger. I don't know the answer offhand, but I would run first netdiag on the
problem dc and then dcdiag. My guess is you will get some errors that may provide
some clues and you may need to search Google web/groups with specific error phrases.
http://www.eventid.net/ is a good place to plug in Event Ids for info. It would also
be a good idea to post at the win2000.active_directory newsgroup. --- Steve
