Wrong domain name on the XP machine? That is, you're trying to log on to a
domain that does not exist.

I have been logging into the same domain controller for two years now.

The workstation is already logged into the server at this time

I am not trying to login

This message just appears every morning around the same time

When I do display of all the domain workstations this pc shows up in the
list

So Again why does this error pop up

Very strange..

Thanks

Tom

Ah! A new clue!

Something is trying to call home to check for updates, send email, or just
to be friendly. See what's running at the troublesome time - that may
provide the ultimate clue.
