Event ID 1000 UserEnv

I'm receiving the following error from one of my DC's. Can anyone provide
insight into this? What's causing it? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

UserEnv

Event ID: 1000

Windows could not save the registry settings in your user profile on its
first try because another program or service was editing them. Windows tried
again and saved them after 30 attempts.

Dustin,

This can be something easy such as a service keeping the profile locked for
writes (use UPHClean to fix it) or something obscure like having Profiles on
a Novell share and upgrading your DCs to SP4, or something really nasty like
a screwed up migration leaving you with multiple SIDs pointing at the same
file location.

So... Try the User Profile Hive Cleaner (UPHClean) as a first step and work
from there.

Then consider...
Do you have any other UserEnv errors happening?
What OS are your servers and workstations?
Have you installed new software to the clients: Antivirus, novell Client,
Remote management software? (The current version of McAfee has problems with
this)
Have you been doing maintenance on SID History or migrated the users?
