errors on svchost.exe

i have been encountering errors about "svchost.exe".It
says svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed
by windows.You will need to restart ...
After this message MS Excel,MS Word,and my other
applications does not open properly until i reboot.
I use HP "Brio" PC Pentium III 500MHZ and 192MB ram.
Could someone help me on this?

'svchost' in the Subject.
