errors/help

I don't really know too much about omputers-at all!!! I
am having problems with the speed of my computer... It
has become very slow a few days ago... I have defragged
my computers a couple of times, and it has not helped at
all...

I am also having problems with the way my computer screen
looks after i get logged on... First the screen appears
normal, and then in the bottom right corners next to the
time ect... Windows messenger pops up with a red X on it
and then the screen(display) becomes all messed.(the
color is all distorted....) And looking up my system
information, I have 2 critical errors listed... One has
to do with the P&P, and the other says something
about "dump crash file"???? I don't know where to begin
to fix these errors.
