Error

Hi,

Any ideas?

When our staff login to their Windows 2000 TS sessions, they get an error.
It is from one of our 2 NT4 domain servers to the TS server they have logged
into.

EG
FROM: DOMAINSERVER
TO: 2000TSSERVER
ERROR: Your Logon time has ended.

If you OK the error, it goes away and you can continue your work.
Unfortunately this is not just a "cosmetic" error as we are getting it
everytime someone logs in.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Guy

Weird!
Have you checked the logon hours in User Manager for Domains on
the PDC? And how about time synchronisation between your NT domain
controllers and your W2K member server?
Any Events in the EventLog that throw some more light on this?

Do your users disconnect from their TS session when they go home?
In stead of logging off?
I haven't tested this, but can imagine a scenario like this:
suppose that users have limited logon hours and get a warning that
their logon time ends at 10 PM. If they have disconnected their TS
session when they go home at 5 PM, the warning about logon hours
expiring will be visible in their disconnected session the next
morning, when they reconnect to the session.

If this is your situation, then they should only see the warning
once a day, in the morning, but not during subsequent logons
during the rest of the day.

Thanks Vera,

I know it is not due to staff disconnecting as this has been restricted
through Group Policys. Also, these errors happen during times when the users
are allowed to be logged in. One thing, the error is not directed to a
specific user - it seems to be for the machine - it is from the domainserver
to the w2000TS machine.

The curious thing is that it happens between our DCs and only two of our
W2000TS machines. There are W32time event ID 64 errors on those (and the
other w2000 servers) in the event viewers - could this be the reason?

Thanks!
