error with big email

my outlook 2003 for some reason gives me this error:

Your subjects states, "error with big mail", are you
trying to send a large email, or receiving one, or
something of that nature?

The error always seems to happen when I am working on an email for a
long period of time. I don't think that really has anything to do
with now that I am working on it more I would just like to get it
fixed. I have tried the repair feature and reinstalling it and that
doesn't work either. any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
