Error When Hyperlink Embedded in Message

Outlook 2007. I have a user who receives the following message whenever he
clicks on a hyperlink someone has embedded in an email message to him:

General Failure. The URL was: http://<any url>. The system cannot find the
file specified.

When he cuts and pastes the url into the IE address window, IE has no
problem accessing the url. What could be the problem or setting in Outlook
2007 that is producing this anomaly?

Perhaps the user has Firefox or another browser set as his default (as many
of us prefer, rather than IE). I was having the same problem in Outlook 2007,
using Firefox as my default browser. The solution may be the same for your
user, if he has another browser set as the default.

SOLUTION: Open Firefox browser before clicking links in Outlook.
