Error when closing IE

Hello,

I have a Windows XP box that has ALL updates applied, and
is clean of spyware, adware and viruses. Whenever I exit
out of IE, an error appears. The following is also
logged to the Application Event log:

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180,
faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address
0x00188e3c.

I really don't want to reinstall XP... does anyone have
any ideas?

Hi,
This is probably being caused by another program. Disable, for diagnostic
purposes, programs which interact with IE such as anti-virus, firewall,
ad-blockers, toolbars, etc. One of those programs may need to be
reinstalled.
