Error - 'Internet Explorer has encountered a problem...'

Application Error, Event 1000, Faulting application iexplore.exe, version
6.0.2900.2180, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address
0x604245d0.

This is happening on numerous machines. Any suggestions/ideas on how to
fix/eliminate would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can be many things try these steps

1._ Run an Anti-Virus to check for any virus that you might have
2._ Run an Anty-Spyware to check for any Spyware that you might have
3._ Run Windows Updates to check for any new version or patch

Internet Explorer might be damage try to uninstall and reinstall it
1._ Go to control panel
2._ Open Add or Remove Programs
3._ Select Add/Remove Windows components from the left side
4._ Uncheck Internet Explorer click next to uninstall follow the steps
5._ Restart your computer and repeat steps from 1 to 4
6._ Recheck Internet Explorer to reinstall it
