Error when attempting to add scheduled task

When I attempt to add a scheduled task it prompts me for
the username/password. I enter the same information I
use to login but it returns "the data sent to the process
is too short". I have attempted to change the password
but this did not resolve the problem.

I am running XP with the latest service packs and patches.

Any feedback is appreciated.
 
Be sure your user account has administrative privelages as well as password.
 
Thanks. This is the only user account on the system (not
counting guest which is disabled) and is set as the
administrator.
