Error: Server Does not appear to have Sharepoint services installed

I am new to Frontpage, and currently enrolled in a college course on
the subject. I am trying to publish a site that I developed during the
course of the course and I keep getting the same error no matter what
server (even IIS) on my local box. Server <host> does not appear to
have Sharepoint services installed. I have initiated service with one
free web hosting service, with Yahoo Geocities Pro, and IIS on my
personal laptop. All of these sites are supposed to support Sharepoint
services. None of the sites yet hosts any web site files.

Do you mean Sharepoint Services or FrontPage extensions - the error
message will use Sharepoint for both of these.
The only server that supports SharePoint Services is Windows 2003,
Yahoo uses Unix, and I suspect you are using Windows XP.
Most servers will support FrontPage extensions, but these must be
installed and configured (Yahoo has a poor reputation for this.)
