Error reporting NAS disk information

My internal drive is formatted NTFS. I bought an external Network Attached
Storage (NAS) device that is formated as FAT32. Why won't Windows report the
disk information of the NAS?

Most NAS' use Linux and Samba to share the drive(s). Windows only gets the
details that the Samba server provides which is information about the files,
permissions, sizes, etc.
