Error - no valid signature

My grandchildren tried to play an online game from Shockwave.com & got an
error message that it was blocked by Windows it because it 'does not have a
valid signature.' There is no option, except to agree to the block, that
would allow them to play the game regardless of what Windows thinks. Why is
Windows deciding what should be blocked without asking? We've run other
online games with no problem. Is there a way to get the game to run? Isn't
Shockwave a trusted company? Any help/info will be appreciated.

Bet your using IE and an untrusted ActiveX was trying to be installed,

Shockwave can be trusted but the website is another matter. Running
FireFox or Opera as a browser is a real option here as they don't run
ActiveX.

Yes, I'm using IE (only because Shockwave.com requires it) - their games
don't work on Firefox. The error message doesn't say anything about
something being downloaded - I seem to recall a different error message in
that case that does have the option of downloading or not. Isn't there a
workaround? I know they've played this game before. It's odd that Shockwave
can be trusted but their website can't be...interesting. Thanks.
