Hello Community. I am not at all and advanced pc user, so I will do my best
to describe what is happening. I have windows xp home edition, OEM.
I recently installed Darwinia, a nice game, but it causes my cpu to crash.
I get the following error:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Run a system diagnostic utility supplied by your hardware manufacturer. In
particular, run a memory check and check for faulty or mismatched memory. Try
changing video adapters.
Disable or remove any newly installed hardware and drivers.
Disable or remove any newly installed software. If you need to use safe mode
to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select
Advanced Startup Options, and then select safe mode.

I have never had, and do not currently have any issues running any other
games. The only fix I have found for this in windows knowlege base is
specificaly for windows 2000 or some server version. Any help on what I
should do to try and fix this would be very much appreciated. Please keep in
mind to be as descriptive as possible. Not very advanced.
