Error Message

My current OS is Windows 98. I bought a Windows
Proffesional XP disc. Everytime I try to install it an
error message appears and it doesnt load. I tried to boot
it from the CD but ther's seems to be an error. It reads
the CD at first but then still an error message appears.
 
OK! Let's start with this: Did you buy the full, oem, or
upgrade version of XP? Next: How do you expect anyone to
help you if you don't state what the error message is? I
already know what your instalation problem is-Operator
Malfunction.
