Error Message

I get the following error message when double left clicking within a Viking
Program called 4D Embroidery : {Windows cannot find .'(null)'Make sure you
are typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file,
click the start button, then click search.} This is no typing of the name.
I click the icon, up pops the object that I requested in a separate window
along with this error message. I cancel the error message and continue ..
Although windows does what I request, that message pops up every time. What
is going on? It is extremely annoying. This is occurring on my wife's
computer but she does not know how to ask for help
Thanks Ross

You need to contact 4D Embroidery's tech support for help with their
software. It sounds as though the program isn't Vista-compatible. You may
need to upgrade to a more recent version (if this isn't the newest one) or
the tech support people will know a workaround, etc.

Addendum - My apologies; I see that you are using XP and not Vista so my
comment about the program being Vista-compatible isn't germane. However,
your next step is still to contact the program's tech support since they
will know what the error message really means. Additionally, you'll want to
tell them the answer to The First Question of Troubleshooting: what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't.

Thanks for comments. I have been in contact with Viking, at local store
level (zero), and national. Spent hours d/l FAQ and trouble shoot guides,
etc. Looks like we are in the middle of the usual "left hand" "right hand"
each accusing the other causing the problem. Thanks anyway. Ross
