I am not sure that the following tricks will work for you or not but I always
run these tricks after a fresh installation. That is why, till date I have
never faced the errors stated by you. According to my knowledge, a minor
problem in your software or hardware can cause window to do the behavior
stated by you. To avoid this, you may try:

1. Right-Click on My Computer and choose Properties
2. Here click the "Advanced Tab"
3. Click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery Option"
4. Under "System Failure" events uncheck following 2 options, which are:
b. send an administrative alert
c. automatically restart
5. Under "Write debugging information" set the option to "(none)" instead of
"small memory dump".

Hope it will solve your problem. If so, let us know. You should also check
your drives for errors by doing a Scan and run the Defrag. Make your
anti-virus up-to-date by running some kind of "Live-Update" utility included
in your Anti-Virus software and do a virus scan on your system.

Hi Elly,

Under C:\Windows\minidump (just type it into a start/run prompt), you will
find several .dmp files. Select the most recent one (the date is part of the
name, then they are numbered sequentially, ie: mini041106-02.dmp would be
the second one created yesterday, april 11, 2006), then send it to me via
email as an attachment to the address used here, (e-mail address removed). Use a
subject line of "per req" so it will get past the filters and into my inbox.
I will see if I can debug it and find out what's going on. Please do not
post it as an attachment to the support group.
