Hello Curtis,
I have seen this due to corruption with the files associated with the
Google Toolbar, simply uninstalling the Google Toolbar and reinstalling it
resolved the issue. However, to narrow down where this is coming from,
please do the following as a test if you are not running the Google Toolbar
-
1. Go to Start/Run and type msconfig
2. In the System Configuration Tool on the General tab choose the
Selective Start up radio button.
3. Now uncheck the Load Startup Items option.
4. Click okay and reboot when asked.
If the problem is gone, we can narrow down what item is causing this by
running MSCONFIG again and clicking on the Startup tab.
You will want to go through a process of elmination of the items listed in
the Startup tab. You should be able to narrow it down to one item.
Once you have done this, try uninstalling and reinstalling the offending
application.
If the problem still occurs, please let me know and I will send further
instructions.
Best regards,
