error message while trying to view avi. video file

Hi,
Someone please help me. I'm having a problem viewing a
avi. video file. The message popping up is
saying "windows media player encountered an unknown
error". The error message code is COOD11CD and i'm using
windows media player 9. It would be greatly appreciated
if some can reply and help me with my problem.
