I have 100 people on an email distirbution list in outlook 2002 when i send
them all an email i get an error mesage back from System Admin saying
following recipient could not be reached to many recipients.

Does this mean some of the people do not get message? email addresses are
correct

Is there a limit as to how many people you can mail at one time in outlook
2002

This is usually caused by your ISP's server spam blocking settings. You might
be limited to how much you can send at one time. Ask them about this or break
up your lists into smaller groups.

I have the same problem - but how do I break up the distribution list into
smaller lists without retyping?

I was able to select names from a DL and use Save As to save them in a text
file, which I could then edit, but I don't see any way to add them back in a
DL from the text file.
