error message when I start windows

When i start windows I get an error message that states that one of the files
containing the system registery data had to be recovered by use of a log or
alternat
copy.
I checked the event viewer and found several errors. The one that showes up
the most is as follows
Event Type: Error
Event Source: EventSystem
Event Category: (50)
Event ID: 4609
Date: 4/27/2006
Time: 10:24:05 AM
User: N/A
Computer: RICK
Description:
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal
processing. HRESULT was 80004002 from line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.
