processing. HRESULT was C0000005 from line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

How do I get help on this error reported by the event viewer in Windows XP?

Hi Diane and thank you for your reply.

I'm not sure I fully understood the post you referred me to but I set the
COM+ Event service to auto. It had been on Manual but was started.

Maybe this will solve the problem. It's a pity it is so difficult to get
answers to these problems so I'm very grateful to helpful people like
yourself.
