Error message - urlmon.dll 'Explorer will now close'

We have just started receiving the following error
message 'Explorer has caused an error in URLMON.DLL.
Explorer will now close'. The only way to recover is to
restart the computer, and then it happens again in a very
short period of time. Could you let me know what we can
do to rectify this problem?
We are using IE V6.0.2600.0000IS and MS Windows ME
4.90.3000.

Your IE badly needs updating from Windows Update.
