just trying to install strees/trips 06 and keep getting:
error 1402 Microsoft.WiFiScanner.1\CLISD verify that you have sufficient
access to that key or contact customer support"

Streets and Trips 2006: Error message when you try to install Streets &
Trips 2006: "Unable to install. Error: 1402"

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Delete the following subkeys from the registry: .
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanner.1
.. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanResult
.. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanResult.1
.. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanResults10
.. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanResults10.1
.. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanner
Note Make sure that you delete every registry key because you will receive a
different error message every time that you install Streets & Trips 2006.
3. Install Streets & Trips 2006.

can someone tell me how to post a question. every time I hit the button for
new question a small icon which appears to have circle with a line throug it
appears.

You are having difficulties because you are using the web interface,
which is awful. Use a newsreader instead. This is very easy to set up
and use. Here is information to help you:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
