Registry Errors installing MS Streets & Trips

Greetings all;
I recently bought MS S&T 2006 at Cosstco. When installing, it gets just
about done, then I get this error:
"Error 1402. Could not open key:
Unknown\microsoft.MapPoint.WiFiScanner.1\CLSID. Verify that you have
sufdfiecient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
Then it uninstalls itself.
I am the administrator. This is a home XP system with only one account on
it. You all are my support personnel. Any ideas how to fix this?
