Error Message In Outlook 2000

Hi,

I've got a user who is using Outlook 2000, in internet only mode, and for
months they used it trouble free but when she had to change her password on
the web based version, she also changed it in Outlook 2000 but since then she
has been able to recieve emails but all of the emails she tries to send just
sit in her Outbox and will not send.

You name it and I've tried it. Removed and re-added the account and details
(which are correct), I have uninstalled Outlook, I've completely removed
Office 2000 and reinstalled it but nothing seems to work. I did try running
windows update but for some reason that didnt work but im not sure if thats
relevant?

When it fails to send the emails it pops up an error message complaining
about TCP/IP settings (which I've checked are correct) in smtp1mail with the
error code 0x800ccc13.

I hope someone can shed some light on this please as the user needs to send
these emails asap, thanks!!

Try a new default PST for that user:
1. On the File menu, point to New, and click Personal Folders File
(.pst).
2. Type the name of the new personal folder, verify and change the
file location if necessary, and then click Create.

NOTE: Do not use the name Mailbox.pst.
3. Verify and change the information if necessary, and then click OK.
4. If the Folder List does not appear, on the View menu, click Folder
List.
5. Right-click the new personal folder, click Properties for Personal
Folders, click Deliver POP mail to this personal folders file, and then
click OK.
6. On the File menu, click Exit, and then restart Outlook.
7. In the Folder List, right-click the personal folders that are not
associated with Outlook Today, click Properties, click Advanced, and verify
that the path of this file is different than the one you created in step 2.
8. Click OK twice.
9. In the Folder List, right-click the personal folders that are not
associated with Outlook Today, and then click Close Personal Folders Name.

If that fails to correct he problem then it could be related to the of OE
installed.
