error message at boot-up

Hello,
I transferred the data from 1 80GB hard drive to another
80GB drive, using Ghost. When the system boots, it goes to
the Microsoft splash screen (MS logo & animated color bar),
then after a few seconds I get an error message as follows:
"Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota to
complete the specified operation."
The computer is a Dell Optiplex w/ P4 and 512MB DDR.
After the message, it reboots and goes to the error
message again, reboots, ad infinitum. Any ideas on how to
continue the boot are appreciated. By the way, this also
happens in safe mode. OS is XP Pro. Thanks.

P.S. I got a better look at the error message. In the bar
at the top of the window is: "Isass.exe - not enough
quota." I set the virtual memory to 765MB maximum, which
is what Windows recommends. Please read below for the
symptoms. Thanks.
