recentlly moved my father's work computer to his home. when trying to
install new software it says.... 1606 could not access network location
\\fbcserver\userdata\syd\my documents\

no other posts dealt with the 1606 and "my documents" so am wondering how to
get this taken care of.

thanks,
lavadee.

Hi lavadee,

Mapping the UNC path to a drive letter, and fixing the shell folder path for My Documents should resolve the problem.

\\fbcserver\userdata\syd\my documents\

will become something like:

Z:\userdata\syd\my documents\
