What must I do to uninstall Microsoft Picture It! software. When I attempt to
uninstall I get the following: Error 1606. Could not access network location
"::\Documents and Settings\AllUsers\Desktop"

Try doing a search for Microsoft Picture It.
Click All Files and Folders,
Select all and delete,
OR
Write down the address.
Type CMD.EXE on the start - run line and hit enter,
Type CD\ and hit enter to put you in the Root directory,
Change Directory to the address above and delete it there,

All files and folders have now been deleted using your recommended solution,
however program still appears in "Add / Remove Programs". Is it still using
up space or is it a phantom?

Highlite the program in the Add/Remove program page, and it should say the
program can't be found, and do you want it deleted from the listing.
Just say Yes.

If previous post does not work - install TweakUI which has capability of
deleting orphan entries.

BTW - usually results from deleting program folders instead of uninstalling
via Control Panel.

In addition - there are several PDF clones available that are much less
expensive than Adobe.

Also Office 2007 provides saving of documents in PDF or XML format.

Jerry, it is still there and will not let me remove it. Does the fact that
Windows XP was installed while Microsoft Picture It! was installed (worked
with Windows 98, but is incompatible with XP) have anything to do with my
inability to remove it now?

Alan, this is a little late to ask,
But, do you have service pack 1 or 2 installed
