Error Message 0xc000012f (0x00000000 0x00000000)

I had my Dell computer worked on by a computer tech due to there having been
s virus issue- the tech that worked on computer removed hard drive and
replaced it and placed antivirus ware on the computer. I went to install
windows updates now receiving a error message c000021a w/ 0xc000012f
(0x00000000 0x00000000) shut down message. I attempted to reinstall windows
xp but received error message stating to check hard drives they are not
located. Not sure how to correct the error and have searched internet for
assistance but this is not a common error message. Please help... not really
wanting to buy a new computer if this if fixable..

"Stating to check hard drives they are not located"? Could you clarify
this? Are you trying to re-install from scratch or do a repair
install? You Dell should have a diagnostic partition or CD. Does that
say the hardware is ok?

Take it back to the tech and ask him/her to fix it ?

0xC000021A: STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED
This occurs when Windows switches into kernel mode and a user-mode subsystem, such
as Winlogon or the Client Server Runtime Subsystem (CSRSS), is compromised. Security
can no longer be guaranteed. Because Win XP can’t run without Winlogon or CSRSS,

the system to stop responding. This Stop message also can occur as a result of
malware infestation or when the computer is restarted after a system administrator
has modified permissions so that the SYSTEM account no longer has adequate
permissions to access system files and folders
