Please Help - Blue Screen - PC Won't Turn On

Hello
Please help if you can
When I turn my computer on it I get a blue screen with the following error
message:
STOP: C000021a {Fatal System Error} The Windows Logon Process System process
terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
I cannot get passed this message, even in safe mode. The only option from
here is to turn the computer off at the switch. Have tried repairing with
original disc but get as far as having to enter an administrator password,
which I don't know.
If anyone can help at all it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what you were going to do from the repair console
but you could run chkdsk /r I suppose.

If that's what you wanted to do, just hit <enter> as the default password is
just a blank (viz: no password)

If it was my machine, I'd run a RAM test first...just as a precaution

I can't get far enough on to my computer to carry out these actions... I
can't log on and can only get as far as the F12 Boot Menu but cannot boot the
computer up at all. I can run a few diagnostic tests but they don't find
anything wrong. Any ideas? If not... any ideas as to how I can retrieve my
files from it without turning it on?
