Error in testing settings

When I configure an email address I can not test the settings but I can send
email. Any idea why that would be happening? Using Outlook 2002
 
Why can't you test the settings? Any error messages? Are you saying the
test fails but your mail works anyway? I would not worry about it then.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
