Error in installation

When i try to install windows defender after installing it

or a known location, it always opens up in notepad. My computer has all the
system requirements. This also happens with almost all of my other downloads
like america's army. Thank you.

I think what your saying is that your file associations are corrupted, and
Defender isn't installing but only opening in the notepad text editor.

Try this fix for your .MSI file extension associations if the above is a
correct interpretation:
