Error in Event Viewer

I'm getting the following error in the application event viewer:

Unable to collect the FTP performance statistics. The error code returned
by the service is data DWORD 0.

Has an event ID of 1000 and an event source of FTPCtrs. Can't find anything
on the knowledge board about it. I can find prently of Event ID 1000
information, but nothing that matches up with the FTPCtrs source. Does
anybody have any ideas?

Probably the FTP service is not running. If so you can disable the counter
to stop the error generation.
