Event 1000?

On my W2K system I occasionally get an Event ID 1000 error message in
Event Viewer (something about not being able to unload the registry)
after shutting down then rebooting the system. What is this all about?

start
run
type
gpedit.msc

navigate to

Computer Configuration
Administrative Templates
System
Logon

Maximum retries to unload and update user profile ...

set enabled and to say 5 ... default if not configured is 60!!
