Error in Control Panal

I am running XP Home edition with SP2. I started getting
an error when using control panal. I am not sure when it
started an probably many things have changed since I was
in Control Panal last. I most recently udated MSN
Messenger to the newest version. The error is:

"An error occured while Windows was working with the
Control Panal file C:\WINDOWS\system32\netsetup.cpl."

Any suggestions?

This error is popping up a lot lately. It comes from the invasive
IPMon32.exe from your ISP's monitoring software. Apparently it really
doesn't play well with SP2. You can safely disable IPMon32 from
starting with Windows and not affect your Internet connection. Go to
Start>Run and type (without quotes) "msconfig". Look on the Startup tab
and find IPMon32. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out.
You don't need to restart immediately, but when you do you'll get a
dialog saying you've used the System Configuration Utility. Just mark
the box that says, "don't bother me about this again".
