ERROR help

hello i have a sony vaio computer that has what is called a giga pocket
that you can record like tivo and click to dvd so you can make a dvd but
i have been having errors when i try to make the dvd so i did a system
restore in hope that would help but when i restored at a point that i
was having trouble with norton internet security and now i can not undo
the system restore it blank just a white screen with nothing on it any
info on how to fix this i have xp thanks
