Error "Class Not Registered" while trying to capture

I have been using movie maker 2 in Windows XP well to
capture from my webcam before. But these few days, I
have tried with different capture program to look for
more motion detection advantage. But afterwards, when I
go back to movie maker, it keeps reported an error "Class
not registered" after I click the "Next" button in
the "video settings" screen of the Video Capture Wizard
(after the 3rd screen of the wizard).

I have tried to re-install both movie maker and media
encoder but no luck. Does anybody can help me out of
this situation? Many thanks!

Have you updated any driver recently, or changed anything in the MovieMaker
folder ?

Yes, since I'm testing various webcam programs so I think they have updated the driver automatically. And that might be the problems. Is there any ways I can revert back the movie maker settings? Since I have tried to reinstall both movie maker and media encoder but it doesn't work

I have just tried to reinstall the windows media codec v9 but it reports the same "Class Not Registered" error message
