ERROR and constant lockups

Why does internet explorer lock up everytime I use it,
and when I play in yahoo games when I finish I close out
the window but it sits in my task bar and I have 2
ctrl/alt and delete to make it go away. this happeneds
all the time!

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
