error -858993460

[windows 2000 user]

when i opened up MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall on my desktop
(the thing i just downloaded from microsoft online), i
couldnt install it and the message "error -858993460" came
up. can someone help me with this?

Try redownloading with antivirus and crashguards disabled. Also, when you
install make sure antivirus, antispyware and crashguard software is disabled
(and anything you may have running that actively monitors, and interferes
with system processes.

Have you installed the latest v. of Windows Installer for Win 2K ? :
