Looked at thie following advice:
797 A connection to the remote computer could not be established
because the modem was not found or was busy.
I'm not sure what that is telling us, but did you delete and rebuild
your DUN Configuration after you got the modem installed correctly?
It seems your present one can't see the modem that it is looking for.
As I mentioned earlier, it may still be looking for one of your
earlier installations, and rebuilding the DUN Configuration, should
let it see the modem as it is currently installed. Good luck.
I installed a dialup modem on an XP Pro machine and all was working well
until a short time after switching to a different ISP. Suddenly this error
message appeared when trying to connect. The modem appears to be ok in
device manager, but it won't connect.
I have no idea about what rebuilding a DUN Configuration means or how that
is accomplished. Is this DUN thing the solution?
